Our Take

Overall, the Gabrylly model offers good value for its price, providing lumbar support, armrests, a tilt function, and a headrest for comfortable sitting. The chair’s mesh backrest and seat provide good airflow, while its adjustability allowed us to customize the chair exactly to our body shape. We’ve found that the assembly can be quite hard cause of the unclear instructions it comes with, and the headrest is uncomfortable compared to similar models.

Despite these drawbacks, we think the chair is a solid choice for anyone looking for a comfortable, supportive office chair that won’t break the bank. Here’s how we rated it overall and against our four main categories:

What We Like

  • Mesh Backrest and Seat: The chair’s full-mesh backrest and seat offer excellent airflow, compared to other material types. It helps to prevent you from getting too hot and sweaty during extended periods of sitting. This makes a huge difference in overall comfort.

  • Value: The Gabrylly chair provides a lot of ergonomic features for a relatively affordable price, making it an attractive choice for anyone looking for a comfortable office chair without breaking the bank.

  • Adjustable Armrests and Headrest: This model offers adjustable armrests and headrest. Though it’s only limited it can be customized to your body shape and preferences. This can help prevent discomfort and promote good posture during long sitting sessions.

  • Sturdy and Durable: The chairs’ construction is of high quality, and the materials used are durable, which should enable the chair to last longer. Considering the price it’s a great option for anyone seeking a comfortable and long-lasting office chair.

  • Tilt Function: The Gabrylly chair features a tilt function that enables you to adjust the angle of the chair to your liking, helping to relieve pressure on your back and spine, and promote comfort. The angle of tilt is quite good considering it’s an office chair.

What We Don't Like

  • Lumbar Support: While the Gabrylly chair offers some adjustability features, such as the armrests and headrest, it lacks some other essential adjustability, such as the lumbar support. This can make it less suitable for users with specific needs or preferences.
  • Minimal Padding: Some users may find the chair’s full-mesh design uncomfortable, this is especially noticeable in the headrest. The lack of padding can cause pressure points and discomfort.

Comfort

In my experience using this model, I found that it provided a good level of comfort. The mesh material used in the backrest and seat has excellent airflow which prevented overheating. Definite plus when you’re planning on sitting for extended periods.

The headrest and adjustable armrests were also helpful in providing extra support for my neck and arms, which helped to relieve some tension in those areas. Overall, it has many ergonomic aspects to promote good physical wellbeing.

That being said, the nature of the all-mesh design means you have no additional padding and may be uncomfortable for some people. The lack of cushioning can create pressure points and discomfort in certain areas. That’s why the chair is only aimed at people from 5’5” to 6’2”. If you don’t fall into those you may feel the effects of these issues.

Durability

The Gabrylly office chairs feel quite sturdy and well-made. The metal frame and mesh fabric seem to be of high quality and can withstand regular use.

The chair also has a weight capacity of up to 280 pounds, which further suggests that it is built to last even under heavy use.

However, we did notice that the chair armrests can feel wobbly or unstable after extended use, and may require screw tightening. Additionally, the caster can be prone to breaking, while not an issue for us some users have reported it. Despite these issues, I still feel that the chair offers good durability overall.

The manufacturer also features an adequate warranty. Suggesting that they’re confident in their products’ longevity. If you have any issues it’s worth getting them replaced with them.

Features and Adjustability

Lumbar Support

While the Gabrylly chair does offer lumbar support it’s not an adjustable one like in many other office chairs in this price range. However, the backrest is designed with a slight curve that follows the natural curvature of the spine. This was enough for me as I felt the effects on my lower back. People with pre-existing back issues may require additional lumbar support. Lack of technicality means it’s less prone to breakage.

Backrest

The backrest on this model is one of the most comfortable I’ve experienced. The breathable mesh fabric and curved shape provide a comfortable and supportive seating experience. The choice of mesh was a real game-changer. The backrest can be relined 90 – 120 degrees so whether I was working or gaming the Gabrylly chair provided me with a comfortable position at all times, removing strain in my upper back and shoulders.

Armrests

The armrests of the Gabrylly chair are quite comfortable and supportive. The soft, padded material feels nice against my arms and helped prevent any discomfort and strain much more effectively compared to similar options. That being said they can become loose after long use and start to wobble. They can also be flipped up 90 degrees to move out of the way to save space. Finally, they can also be slid forward and backward to accommodate more people.

The Gabrylly offers several adjustable features, here are some available:

  • Seat height
  • Headrest height and angle
  • Backrest angle
  • Armrest’s height and angle
  • Tilt tension
  • Tilt lock

All these features have allowed me to fine tune the chair to meet my exact needs. All were very easy to reach and gave me no trouble. The only issue was the lack of adjustable lumbar support which was a bummer for this price. That said these were enough to provide me with a proper posture while keeping me comfortable.

Headrest

The headrest on this model is a welcome addition that provides excellent support for my neck and head. The height and angle (45 degrees) can be adjusted to fit my personal needs, and it is made of a soft, comfortable material. The quality of the headrest is excellent, with a sturdy mechanism that keeps it in place and prevents it from slipping. Much better than what competitors offer at this price range.

Final Thoughts

In summary, the Gabrylly mesh office chair is a comfortable and durable chair that is adjustable and offers excellent value for its price. While it does have a few limitations like the lack of adjustable lumbar support, it is overall a great chair that offers excellent support and encourages good posture. The breathable full-mesh design is also a great choice for this option offering exceptional breathability.

It may not be the best choice for those with a larger build or those in need of more robust lumbar support since the chair itself is recommended for people from 5’5” to 6’2”. However, for most people, it should be the go-to chair if you value money and a healthy sitting posture.
